Not the best

I don't look very becoming in this picture I just posted. It's for sure not the best picture to put on here. However, I read something today that gave me something to strive for. I often struggle with feeling pretty and now that I am a stay at home mom, I feel like I am so out of what's in for fashion too. I often do the stay at home mom deal of sweats and a t-shirt (lucky Jason). Anyways, I read something today that I loved!!!! That I feel like gives me something to pray, reflect on, and try and make a part of my daily life.

1 Peter 3:3-4
Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of INNER SELF, THE UNFADING BEAUTY OF A GENTLE AND QUIET SPIRIT, WHICH IS OF GREAT WORTH IN GOD'S SIGHT.

Sharon, you have the sweetest spirit!!! Another verse I like to say over and over when I'm feeling icky is "Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." (I think it's in Proverbs) However, I think you always look so cute in all your pictures and very stylish!

Theres a verse in Song of Songs 4 I believe that says: All beautiful you are my darling, there is no flaw in you."

The groom is saying this of his bride and I like to remind myself it is not only what my groom thinks of me, but what my God thinks of me!

I honestly think there is more pressure from others to look good all the time. That is my problem, not because I want to look good for me, but I am so afraid of what other people are thinking. Look at the cover of magazines or celebs, that is who we are being compared to and it drives me crazy!
Ps. You look cute in that picture!

You are beautiful - both inside and out!
