I told Jason today that I wanted to do a 12 days of Christmas with Blake every year as our tradition.
So for example we would count backwards on Dec.
25th- Read the Christmas story
24th-Sing happy birthday to me
23rd- Sleep under the Christmas tree
22nd- Read the gingerbread boy and make the gingerbread man cookie
21st- Have hot chocolate and watch our favorite Christmas movie as a family
20th-
19th
18th
17th
16th
15th- Write letter to santa of what is wanted for Christmas
14th- Sing 12 days of Christmas through out the day and then make up our own version
So as you can see, I don't have anything for several days....any ideas that wouldn't cost money and we can easily do every year???!!!

CRAZY!!! This was going to be my post this morning. I was going to ask for Christmas traditions!!!!
How about 1) going to see Christmas lights 2) going to the $ store to shop for presents from Blake to his grandparents, let him pick them out 3) making sandwiches and going to a local soup kitchen to help 4) Christmas cookies .
I think Bethany had great ideas.
I think all your ideas are fun and exciting. I hope when I have children I can have fun traditions like this too.
you are so cute! here are a couple ideas but they may be cheesy:
write christmas cards/notes to your loved ones
say twelve people you are grateful for and pray a special prayer over them
drive to look at christmas lights on houses
go christmas caroling
These are all fantastic suggestions!!! Pack shoeboxes for Samaritans Purse, I can't remember did you say go into Chicago and visit Macy's windows? I'm gonna keep thinking.
