Alrighty Then

I had my weekly doctor's appointment today. I gained a pound and the baby's heart rate was in the 140's. I tested positive for the strep B. I asked my doctor if that meant if I was dirty, and he said no....40% of women have this bacteria in their system. So I will be given some sort of antibiotic before the baby is born to help fight this bacteria.

I had felt this hard lump in my upper stomach above my belly button and asked the doctor what it was. He told me it was the head and that my baby is still breech. I then preceded to ask what is the percentage that my baby would turn in the next couple weeks. Since I have been breech for awhile, he said less than 10% likely that the baby will turn.

I am okay with what is going on. I talked to Lana for an almost an hour today about what to expect with a c-section. I appreciated her honesty with how she felt and how nervous she was. I hope to gain more information about a c-section so I will not go into it blindly.

Sharon -- I really admire how prepared you are making yourself for the whole birthing and parentin process. I think I wouldn't had less anxiety had I done a little more preparation and talked to more people about what to expect. Of course, I wouldn't expect anything less from you! Well done, Baxter, well done (that is from a line in Anchorman, when his dog eats the whole wheel of cheese)

My sister has had many c-sections. Maybe you can ask her what she went through if you are looking for more advice. I am praying for you.
Please keep me in your prayers. I had a break down last night. I am just really getting nervous. I can talk to you more about it later.
Have a great day!

Sharon--Both my kids were born c-section: the first was an emergency after 26 hours of labor and 3 hours of pushing. The second was scheduled. I am also positive for strep B. After my second c-section I was up walking around later that day. The proceedure is so quick and pain free and your baby is out within minutes. My third c-section is scheduled too. I agonized over it so many times too but as you know and have showed so many times in your blog, God sees the big picture. He is in control and you will have an amazing testimony of His perfect plan and faithfulness when that precious baby is born! No worries girl! Call me if you want to!

I'm praying for you Sharon! SOON you will be holding your precious gift from God! What an amazing moment that will be when you hold him/her for the very first time! I'm so excited for you!!

This verse came to my mind as I was praying for you this morning:
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the PEACE of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."

Let HIS peace fill your heart today!
